The National Capital Region Chapter of Equal Voice is hosting this event to put the 2018 Municipal Election in people’s minds and to promote women in municipal politics.
A panel discussion will allow attendees to hear what it’s like to serve, contemplate considerations leading to a decision to run, hear about attracting volunteers and donations, what people wish they knew beforehand etc. The event will also include a networking opportunity for all concerned, which can serve as a great way for people to drum up support for a campaign and for individuals to let someone know they’re interested in working on a campaign.
