Family Day may look a little different this year, but by now, we’re all experts at finding new ways to celebrate the holidays!
There are tons of outdoor and online activities available that allow us to feel connected, while keeping us safe and healthy.
From getting out to enjoy our great outdoor trails, local and city wide skating rinks and toboggining hills, to a virtual Winterlude experience, the options are endless.
If braving the cold is not your thing, connecting with friends and family virtually is definitely the way to go. In my family, we’ve been enjoying virtual dinner parties.
Other great COVID safe activities include, baking, crafts, board games, movie nights, and even an impromptu living room dance party! This year is all about making new traditions.
And don’t forget, our local businesses need your support too. If you’re able, please consider taking the night off cooking to order take-out from a local eatery. Every bit helps.
While many of us are fortunate to celebrate today with our loved ones, please remember to also check-in on your friends and neighbours who may be feeling isolated during these challenging times. As a community, we must continue to support one another.
However you choose to celebrate today, I wish everyone a happy, healthy, and safe Family Day.
