Community & Safety Well-Being Plan: Online Survey

Everyone has a role to play in safety and well-being, and the City of Ottawa is seeking your feedback as we develop Ottawa’s Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan. The plan, which is required under the Province’s  Safer Ontario Act, 2018, will outline strategies and actions to improve safety and well-being for everyone in Ottawa. We have been listening to the community on the best ways for residents, organizations and government to work together to address well-being and safety issues in our communities.

Your voice matters! Jump in on the conversation from January 18 to February 28 for the CSWB Phase 2 consultations.

This phase of community engagement will focus on gathering more detailed feedback to set strategic objectives, strategies and actions on each of the six local priorities that will be the focus of Ottawa’s first CSWB Plan as follows: discrimination, marginalization & racism, financial security & poverty reduction, gender-based violence & violence against women, housing, integrated & simpler systems, and mental well-being.

Explore our engagement activities below, under ‘updates’ as well as our resources folder for more information. All feedback from this consultation period will be analyzed and summarized in a Phase 2 CSWB “What We Heard” report this spring. Sign up for project updates to stay informed.

Although both the Anti-Racism Secretariat and the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan each have their own mandate, our work is complementary to each other. Both groups are working together to help create a city that is equitable and safe for all and improves everyone’s well-being.

Have your say and complete this survey to share your feedback.
